April 5 2009 Deborah Terrero, 53 caused an accident which injured Kenneth L. Dillon, 48, of Port Richey and killed his passenger Nicole Centrangolo also of NPR. Terrero, was arrested Saturday January 18th 2010 at her home in Troy, N.Y. near Albany, on a fugitive from justice warrant issued Dec. 21 2009 because see ran to avoid procecution. And here is the F-BOMB. This ain’t a 1st for her. State records show Terrero has a history of driving infractions. She was charged in 2006 with three counts of leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage. The courts withheld a formal finding of guilt. Terrero received five speeding tickets in the past decade, records show, and her license was suspended several times over the past three years for failure to pay tickets or appear in court. She commited what amounts in our book MURDER and RAN away after causing the death of Fellow Biker Nicole Centrangolo and the injury of Kenneth Dillon. Her license has since been reinstated. Are Stiffer penalties needed NOW? In our Opinion as BIKERS YES THEY ARE! When someone can Kill one of us and then Bail out of Jail and Run we say enough is enough. With the record this asswipe had she should have never be reissued a license let alone get the chance to run away. Kenneth Dillion & Nicole Centrangolo have rights and they deserve JUSTICE for the crime perpetrated against them. WHAT DO YOU THINK!!!!! |

February 18 2010 Where are the “easy riders” in Massachusetts? Mostly in western Massachusetts, according to data in the weekly “Snapshot” chart. Residents in towns west of Worcester appear to be fonder of motorcycles than folks in Greater Boston. A map of motorcycle registrations shows the heaviest concentrations, by 1,000 residents, are in small towns like Mount Washington, Peru, and Blandford. There are some pockets of heavier ownership south of Boston, in towns such as Halifax and Plympton. Communities such as Chelsea, Wellesley, Lawrence and Boston are among those with the lowest concentrations.

February 8 2010 Ashville N.C. A Harley Seized in Drug Raid will Become Part of Sheriff Jimmy Ashe's Department. The Sheriff's Office got the motorcycle on May 5, 2008, from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives after a federal judge ordered that it be forfeited. The bike had belonged to a Jackson County resident who pleaded guilty in 2006 to selling methamphetamine. The department said it would put the motorcycle into “official use,” but did not elaborate on the form. The bike had 7,434 miles on it when ATF transferred it to the Sheriff's Office, according to a title filed with the N.C. Department of Motor Vehicles. Federal rules for seized vehicles say the local agency must use them for “a law enforcement purpose for at least two years following transfer” or get special approval from the U.S. Department of Justice's Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section. |

| February 7 2010 NAPLES FL. Motorcyclist Killed A 42-year-old motorcycle rider was killed in a one-vehicle wreck in North Naples late Saturday — the third person to be killed on Southwest Florida roads within a 24-hour period. Around 11 p.m., Anthony S. Taylor of Naples was driving a 1996 Harley Davidson east on Nighthawk Drive approaching the end of the road, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. Due to his speed, reports said, Taylor applied the brakes and lost control of the bike, causing it to overturn on its left side and slide about 45 feet. The Harley then struck a curb with its front wheel, flew into the air and hit a palm tree, ejecting Taylor, reports said. The bike overturned a few more times before coming to rest on the shoulder. Taylor, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, where he was pronounced dead. Tests to determine if the crash was alcohol-related are pending, according to a report. |

| Former Polk deputy sentenced to probation, must
make restitution
A former Polk County deputy & 17-year law enforcement
veteran who pleaded guilty to mail fraud in November was
sentenced to five years of probation in federal court Thursday.
According to information previously presented in court: In 2008,
Kenneth Lane Gravett, 43 fell behind
on his loan payments for a Harley
Davidson motorcycle and falsely
reported to the bike stolen from his garage.
Gravett reportedly used the insurance proceeds to pay off the
delinquent loan and on Dec. 4, 2008, another co-conspirator sold
the motorcycle to an FBI informant for $1,500. He then reported
the theft to his insurance carrier American Modern Select
Insurance Company, mailing the fraudulent police report to the
company, reportedly in order to obtain funds to pay off the
motorcycle. Gravett was ordered to pay back $12,517.02 and was
ordered to immediately pay a special assessment of $100 to the
government. JudgeVining said if he could not pay the total
amount to the insurance company for the fraudulent claim, he
would have to pay it back in installments of $300 a month. With
his family sitting behind him, Gravett apologized to the court
for his crime and admitted his wrong doings. The conditions of
Gravett’s probation confine him to his home with exception to
work, visiting a doctor, school, religious services, visiting
his lawyer or making a court appearance. Gravett, who his lawyer
said was also an avid hunter, was also advised he was not
allowed to own or use firearms because is a felony for convicted
felons to possess firearms.

A RAT'S TALE: If the very idea of cleaning your bike gives you the spooks and you'd rather drink a bottle of spray polish than actually apply it, there's a club of quacks that would love to have you. The trend of deliberately customizing bikes to look as if they've been left in a ditch for decades isn't hugely popular in the U.S., but overseas the Europeans love their rat bikes and spare no glimpse of sanity in accomplishing their apocalyptic visions. Though purposely making a bike look "ratty" might seem a bit contrary to the rat purists' ideals that the bikes should evolve into horrible heaps naturally, we didn't bother with such theories and gathered a selection of some of the gnarliest specimens on the road. Many rat bikes began their (second) life as salvage crashed bikes. Although based on a similar notion as the streetfighter (though much more radical in its approach), the basic idea for this type of custom motorcycle is to build a truly individual bike. Where the rat factor comes in is that the rides are created from the leftovers of our "throw-away" society. Building a unique bike that gives the highway salute to the expectations and conventions of the consumerist mainstream is at the heart of the rat-bike culture--not just thinking it's a good time to ride shit bikes. The build themes tend to be as black as the plague and the rodent that's blamed for spreading it. Oftentimes there are actual specimens of the Rattus Rattus on many of the machines. |

Motorcyclists may go topless in Nebraska: LINCOLN
- Thanks to a change of heart by one lawmaker, it appears the
Nebraska Legislature will once again debate a bill to repeal the
state's motorcycle helmet law. It would be the first such debate
since 2008 and the first since term limits brought a more
conservative bent to the 49-member body. "Are we excited?
Yes. Are we optimistic? Yes," said Scott Lucey of Omaha,
legislative officer for a leading helmet-repeal group, ABATE
(American Bikers Aiming Toward Education) of Nebraska. A helmet repeal bill, introduced last year, faced a 4-4 deadlock in the Transportation and Telecommunications Committee. But on Tuesday, State Sen. Charlie Janssen of Fremont, the bill's sponsor, was able to persuade Sen. Leroy Louden of Ellsworth to switch his vote. His change of heart gives Legislative Bill 200 a 4-3 majority in the committee. Sen. Scott Lautenbaugh of Omaha, who was absent and is a past supporter of the bill, said in a telephone interview that he will provide the necessary fifth vote today to advance the bill. Under an amendment proposed by Janssen, only those 21 and older would be permitted to ride without helmets. The bill as now written allows a helmet exemption for young riders who pass a safety class. |

Lawless Industries, in conjunction with Orange County Choppers, has designed a drive system allowing the rider to choose between the normal thud of a booming V-twin motor, or the silent whirr of an electric powerplant – or both.

Forget the Flying Car: Here Comes The Flying Motorcycle How to build a commercially viable flying car: first, make it a motorcycle. The idea of creating a personal transportation craft that can both take to the skies and travel along the ground has been alive as long as science fiction. But meeting both the FAA's regulations for aircraft while simultaneously meeting the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration's guidelines for automobiles means compromises on both sides. Enter the Switchblade, a flying motorcycle that Northern California engineering firm Samson Motorworks hopes to have on the road and in the sky by next year. READ MORE |

ARTIST REPOSSESSES STATUE: Missing
motorcycle statue mystery solved -- but plot thickens The mystery of the $100,000 statue missing from a financially troubled Lindon motorcycle shop has been solved. The plot, however, has only thickened.Lindon Police Chief Cody Cullimore said Tuesday that the 4-ton metal statue, entitled "Land Speed," apparently was removed from the Timpanogos Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealership's property over the New Year's weekend. At first, it was thought to have been stolen. However, police located the artwork at the Springville home of its artist creator, Jeff Decker. He claims ownership of the sculpture."The statue has been located. It is in the possession of the artist who created it. This appears to be a civil situation in that the artist has provided us with a 'loan agreement' in which he agrees that Timp Harley can display the statue but that it remained his," Cullimore said. The problem: Timp Harley has filed documents in federal bankruptcy court listing the sculpture as a business asset."The wild card is the granite block that the motorcycle is attached to. I believe that everyone understands it to be the property of Dave Tuomisto, the previous owner of [Timp Harley]. It is still, to my knowledge, attached to the statue as the artist tries to figure out how to separate the two without damaging anything," Cullimore said. The chief said he intends to run the matter past city prosecutors, but doubts charges will be filed.
