A CHAIN OF BIKER- FRIENDLY RESTAURANT-BARS EXPANDS RAPIDLY IN NORTH-CENTRAL FLORIDA The newest biker friendly eating and drinking restaurant chain is rapidly expanding in the Scootergoods area. Starting with one location in Chiefland just a few months ago, BUBBAQUE’S  restaurants are now open in three other locations; Bronson in Levy County, Lakeland in Polk County, and Brandon in Hillsborough County. A fifth BUBBAQUE’S is scheduled to open soon in the University District of Gainesville.
The secret of BUBBAQUE’S rapid growth is that each location appeals to locals and travelers alike. The restaurants feature BBQ Ribs, Chicken, ‘Pulled Pork’ and much more plain southern cookin’. The food is excellent and the prices reasonable. BUBBAQUE’S restaurants are furnished in a clean, modern, non-cluttered manner with polished natural-wood finishes on tables, chairs, and counters. Decorations, however, feature typical southern country items such as huge fishing lures, mounted trophy-size fish, and even a large turkey in one corner (stuffed by a taxidermist, not by the cook) The walls are decorated with old tools and farm items such as hand-saws, mule and horse collars, old license plates and store signs, Gator pennants, and even some street signs and old The suggestion box is in the form of a two-foot long shotgun shell, and you might also find an occasional gator head laying around. The restaurant’s signs, menus, etc. are painted or written as if they had been done by a semi-literate country dweller who writes the way he – or she – might talk. The many large screen TVs feature the best in sports and news interests every day of the week. The Chiefland  BUBBAQUE’S has a full service bar, and features special menu items, drinks and entertainment on different days of the week, such as Happy Hour all day long on Mondays, Karaoke Night (ladies drink free 7-9) on Wednesdays, and Bike Night on Thursdays (6-8) with 99 cent drafts if you ride in. But remember, the bar at Chiefland BUBBAQUE’S is CLOSED on Sundays.

PSYCHOZ Grand Opening; What a Party!

Saturday, May 30th was the Grand Opening of the remodeled bar (formerly Knuckleheadz Saloon), located on US-19 at the south city limits of Chiefland about 30 miles north of Crystal River.

Now under new owners and new management, PSYCHOZ has been repainted inside and out, but it still retains the Biker theme withmore bike-related specials being added each week. The new owners, Paula and Jessie, held a typical biker party with plenty of good food including chicken and pork cooked to perfection by Chester and Gary in a big smoker with local oak wood. The meal was served inside (where it was cool!) and enjoyed with entertainment by the band FASTER THAN FLASH, MC’d by the ever-popular DJ NASTY.

The ladies got into the spirit of the day by helping with the work, as well as with the entertainment - - including some dancing on the bar by Georgia and Jessie. Bikes from all around north-central Florida were lined up outside, and party-goers inside, for a great afternoon and evening of biker fun.

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Benefit Ride

On Saturday, May 2, the Alachua Chapter of the ENFORCERS M/C sponsored a benefit ride to raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes fund. They were assisted by members of the CHROME DIVAS, who handled the raffle and 50/50 ticket sales. About 130 bikes signed up for the ride, and by the time the riders reached the Santa Fe Bar in High Springs, there was well over 200 people present and the parking lot was 'wall-to-wall' with bikes.

And they just kept on coming in.....
The ride started at Gainesville HARLEY-DAVIDSON, and from there it was on to the WEST SIDE LOUNGE on SR-26 in Newberry, then to the DAWG HOUSE on US-19 in Fanning Springs, and then north-east to Billy's SANTA FE BAR on US 441 just north of High Springs. At each stop there were snacks and plenty of cold beer. Raffle tickets were drawn at each stop, and after the numbers were drawn and the prizes awarded, it was on to the next stop.

Just like in the Army; "shout out the numbers loud and strong!"

Food, drinks and conversation; that's part of what it is all about.

Stop #3 was the SANTA FE BAR in High Springs. It was a hot afternoon and by now everyone was ready to get off the bikes and let the cold breezes -- inside the bar -- cool things off.

(One lady decided to help the breeze in the parking lot heat things up.)
Last stop was at the EAGLES CLUB on US 441 N. in Gainesville.

At the EAGLES CLUB, most of the riders enjoyed the $10.00 special dinner; a large, tender steak with baked potato, salad and dessert. My charcoal broiled steak was outstanding, and everyone else said the same about theirs!

And a good time was had by all.
Good food, great music by the FETCHING PENNIES BAND, and the drawing for the 50/50 split. The winning ticket was worth 110 dollars, which was won by a lovely lady named Lorrie, who returned the entire amount back to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. The ENFORCERS M/C members are mostly from the active and retired ranks of various Law Enforcement organizations, Military Services, Public Safety workers and other Professionals. Membership in the ENFORCERS, however, is not limited to the persons listed above. If you live to ride, and want to make our lifestyle better, you will be welcomed into the ENFORCERS as long as you can live up to their standards.

The GAINESVILLE CHROME DIVAS had their 4th Annual Hunny Bunny Poker Run on Saturday, April 18, with 114 registered riders participating. More than $2,200 was raised for the GIRL SCOUTS of Gateway Council for their Summer Camp.
