Just Chop It Ya Pussy     XS-650 Transformation
Don V. I am a firm believer in Just Chop It Ya Pussy, I have talked with you before several times and I am sending you some pictures of my latest project its a 1981 Yamaha XS 650  that I have given new life to and to show that you dont need a bunch of money to build a cool ride. Just your basic tools and saws all and a hand grinder. I'm a big fan of Scootergoods and The Horse Backstreet Choppers and just thought that you might be interested in what is going on local. Some of us still build our own bikes and have other pictures of some other bikes that I have finished if you are interested. Don thanks for your time.

Museum plants underway to preserve the history of Bonneville Salt Flats speed records and vehicles.

Speed fiends have been traveling to a largely out-of-the-way barren piece of land in northwest Utah for nearly a century now in their quests to achieve velocities most other people can only dream about, and in all that time there has never been more than a small, now defunct museum to commemorate those pioneers. Two men are well on their way to changing that, however, with their plans for the Bonneville Speedway Museum quickly taking shape.

Wendover, Utah, Mayor Mike Crawford and local Bonneville enthusiast John House recently announced that they have secured a five-acre plot of land on the eastern end of town, right off Interstate 80, where they plan to erect a 25,000-square-foot building that chronicles not just the history of land-speed racing on the Bonneville Salt Flats, but also the story of the Salt Flats and the town of Wendover’s contributions to land-speed racing.

September 22  2010  Biker Killed by  CARELESS CAGER: Fellow Biker Michael J. Lafferty was killed at an intersection in Inverness because 33 year old Stephanie Nicole Chewning was not watching what she was doing while wheiding her 2 ton weapon.  You see she stopped at a red light and then carelessly made a right on red without regard for the motorcycle and Mike Lafferty hit her car and was thrown from his bike and died at the scene. Chewning reportedly received no injuries, but was charged with violating the right of way by making a right turn on red. What was she doing that was so important that she took an innocent man’s life. And what makes it even worse all she got was a stinkin’ ticket. Mike owned the comfort Mattress store in Homosassa which opened in 1996 and was known as a hands on guy and very charitable.
The Scootergoods Magazine Staff wishes to send our deepest condolences to Mike's family, and hope the investigation leads to more charges and the revocation of Chewnings license.
STIFFER PENALTIES ARE DESPERATELY NEEDED IN FLORIDA.
Anyone with additional information or who witnessed the crash is asked to call which opened in 1996

ON SEPTEMBER 24TH a band if Mike's friends met at CRHD to ride to to his Funeral Service.
